Hi All. I recently picked up a '58 Herters Flying Fish on what I believe is an Elgin trailer. Let's put it this way, it has what I'm pretty certain are Elgin fenders. There's nothing else on the trailer that says yea or nay as to whether or not it really is an Elgin. Regardless the front tongue has been cut off by as much as about a foot or two. You can see how far the boat hangs off the back of the trailer which just aint right. Does anyone have a complete Elgin trailer or any pix of an Elgin? What I am specifically looking for is the length from some fixed point on the trailer to the forward end of the tow socket. I need to have this so that I can weld a 3"x3" steel tube extension back on. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to flip the pix upside down but seem to be having a problem doing it.

Need to work on refining and repainting the hull. It looks remarkable and I love its color.
