Maybe not quite the right forum, but... 11 years 10 months ago #74587

I bought the '75 Webbcraft because my wife doesn't care for my Caribbean Hardin Marine jet. It's an '85, but vintage California jet boats are all splashes of early '70's molds, and Caribbean is a cousin to Tahiti. Mine has a 496" BBC driving a Berkeley pump. I came up with the name in response to a kayaker who blogged about my boat when I was trying to get it running after the previous owner had let it sit for a couple of years. Apparently I shattered his otherwise tranquil afternoon. Oh well.....canoes, kayaks and rowboats have a cordoned off area all to themselves, but he wanted to go out on big water. So I christened her "Global Warmer" to poke a little fun at granola crunchers everywhere. :woohoo:
