TOPIC: My 1970 Glastron V-142 SkiFlite

I thought I would make the trip over from classicglastron to fiberglassics, as this site is pretty cool.

I picked up my 1970 SkiFlite last May and spent most of the summer bringing it up to my standards. The 65 Merc needed some work, as did the interior of the boat. I added two period AquaMeter gauges to the dash too. After some elbow grease to the faded gelcoat, I'm quite proud of this boat. I also did some work to the trailer last month.
I was surprised at how many people would come up to me at the dock and tell me how nice a clasic boat I have.

Nice boat! I had one for 20+ years with a 60 HP 3 cyl Johnson on it. I lost my mind about 10 years ago and gave it away. It was a great ski mule. I had replaced the floor twice and the transom once. I saw it at the lake last year with a 2 cyl. OMC on it, running but filthy and rough looking.

Kick me....hard....
