Thanks for the new forum, y'all! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now. Guess I'll have to get the camera out tomorrow. The wife says two boats is one too many, so the Cutter may have to go up in the Glassifieds soon :(

went through that my self with genny between the cobia and the funliner, after everything was said and done....the cobia won.

there is this other thing I like to do and that is to shot videos from a boat, giving the cobia's weight is 1500 pounds with out her fuel tank full (another 40 gallons @ 7 pounds each) I am figuring she will give me a better platform to shot the classic on the water without being thrown around, besides it also has a cabin to save on sleep overs.

camping on the lake...that what an anchor is for :cheer:

I spent 48 Hr non stop on the NC2...

It's great. But don't bet on that stable camera platform idea to much.

well...we have a front hatch, there I would set up a tripod...on the tripod there would be this gizmo that stabilizes the camera from bow bounces, between get thrown around in the little boats while trying to shot and shooting....another, it is a real editing nightmare.

remember the video shot of CC Merc, I was laying backwards in the front seat with a float on the dash board behind me just to try to keep myself still in his boat.

most the time all's I need is anywhere from 15 to 30 sec of film time where I follow the boat verse panning and zooming witch any one can tell yea can really kill a video, I then take the leads of the 15 to 30 seconds of video seg ways and compile them together in an editor.

not to mention out fitting the cobia with four or so ridged mounted cameras hooked up to the laptop recording all the time for more footage.... the ridged level mounts are cool also where no matter what the boat is doing the camera stays level.

with genny laptop and my camera on board I would be able to shoot and edit right in side the cabin the day of the shoot,

HA, Cutter keeper. How can you post the cutter in the glassifides and still call your self cutter keeper??? :P You could always change it to cutter cutter, lol...

Glad to see the 70's forum.

Not funny, Bigfoot! (But you do have a point I've already considered.) Even though I've only had the Cutter for two years, I've become rather attached to her! It's not a decision I take lightly, believe me. Being my first project boat, and all. She was abandoned almost thirty years ago, but now needs only cosmetics and a little wiring on the lights to complete. Guess I'm over reacting 'cause I'm still a little sensitive about the thought of parting with her, sorry.

Maybe I should keep both boats and get rid of the wife? :) Just kidding, I think ;)

Na not drinking, just taking the legally prescribed medication like I am told to...

a cuter, is the person who starts getting rid of the clutter, which shouldn't be confused with the person who cuts cutters that may be clutter.
