TOPIC: 1970 bayliner

1970 bayliner 7 years 4 months ago #133134

So picked this up on Friday, its titled as a 1970 bayliner however i have been looking online for more info on it. The previous owner had not used it for 4 years and did not winterize it before storage. I did get on the water the following day and ran it for about an hour. Any help on identity of this would be appreciated.

Though I have no info on your model, I did notice the Ride Guide steering wheel matches my 1965 original boat of a different brand. Also, my Dads' old 1966 boat of my same brand changed to a somewhat rectangular rounded corner wheel by Ride Guide. I am not sure it that means your boat is possibly older or just maybe the dealership who rigged it had that model in his stock. Great looking boat! Hope others can give you the real info you are seeking.

I was thinking it was a mutiny 1700 by looking at some old pics. As far as the catalog went back was 1974.

It doesn't look like Bayliners of that era. You a Jolly Roger guy? I just restored a 74 that I bought new.

Thats what I'm thinking to bbook. The guy i bought it from had the original add from the paper when he bought it 10 years ago. It was listed as a 1970 bayliner b 19 and i did some interweb searching and found nothing. I am a Jolly Roger guy in the process of building a 68. Thats awesome you kept the boat its entire life.
