Here are some shots of a 1962 Thompson Bros. Boat Mfg. Co. (Peshtigo, WI) 17'-2" Sea Lancer wooden lapstrake boat with a Volvo-Penta stern drive. I believe this is the 80 HP motor.

Thompson Boat at Peshtigo started installing Volvo-Penta stern drives in two of their boat models in the summer of 1959 - about six months after Volvo-Penta unveiled their system at the New York Boat Show in January 1959. Thompson was quick to embrace this technology while at the same time rejecting fiberglass boat construction!
