TOPIC: Battery Size

Battery Size 9 years 2 months ago #113172

I have looked through every single piece of original literature I have...Owner's Manual, Parts Manual, Service Manual...and there isn't a single mention of the size of the battery. The Rogue II has an indentation, so that the battery will fit snugly and not bounce around.

Off the top of anyone's head, do you know what Group battery I'm supposed to use for the 1969 Evinrude Rogue II? The battery that's in it now is too big. Since the boat is still in Texas, I don't know what Group battery is in it now.

Thanks for the help.

Group size refers only to the dimensions of the battery so simply measure the space and chose a battery that will fit. see here www.batteryweb.com/bci.cfm for the different sizes of batteries

Yes I know this. We moved to Idaho last October; the boat is still in Texas, at a friend's house, along with our CJ-5. I just wanted to know if anyone knew what battery the boat is supposed to have, so I can pick one up for it.
