And it could be worth an awful lot less!!! In the market I'm in he'd be hard pressed to make the $1000.00 mark for it

Kind of unique, being mail delivery and all. But, in my opinion, a wood boat better be wood plank or it's not worth the money. I see a lot of wood plywood boats that people strip the paint off of, varnish, and think they are valuable.

That boat, imVho, is about 3 times its actual value.

Also, YELLOW JACKET, HOLMES, LAMAR & a number of other QUALITY molded plywood boats are of considerable value.
(Recently in Dallas, a 16ft YJ sold at auction for 8,000.oo restored with a pair of 30HP Johnsons, according to THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS. = ImVho, FEW long-plank OB runabout boats of the same length would bring that much cash.)
Otoh, there are any number of plywood boats that were JUNK when they were new. = PACESETTER boats of Waco, TX for just one such.

I was thinking it could possibly have some "regional" museum value. It is of relatively minor historical value as there were no roads in that area during its run. LOL! It wouldn't even need a running motor for that purpose.
