Dang,....like Mark said, that is a sad sight to see that Glasspar
G-3 in that type of shape! I say "good luck" to the owner in getting $2,000 for that boat.

Our 1960 G-3 was originally bought in Wisconsin too. But fortunately, it was well taken care of and NEVER left in the rain OR snow.

It sure is SATX, one of the prettiest around that I know of! AND one of the best examples of "take care of your equipment and it will last a LOT longer" !

John's Dad and mine were a lot alike, that's one of the best lessons in life he could have taught me. Even if it's just throwing a cheap tarp over it every couple of years, do your best to keep your stuff out of the weather.

satx78247:

Thanks for your kind words on our G-3 Sir! I appreciate it very much.

As Mark said in his last post, my Dad was hard on my Brothers and me growing up constantly staying on us to keep the boat washed after every use, keeping it covered AND garaged it's entire life along with regular wax jobs and always regular maintenance on the outboard motors that were on it. Our G-3 NEVER sat out in the water or in the rain.

To be honest, when I was young, I would sometimes get frustrated that my Dad was so fussy about the G-3 but now I see why he was as Mark pointed out. Like Mark, it was a good "life lesson" for my Brothers and I also.
