I've never seen a boat with two state registrations. I bet FL and IN do not know that it's registered twice.

It's about the $$$$$$$$$.

My large adopted family owns a summer cottage on Oak Island, NC, a home in Fairfax County, VA, a condo in Miami, FL and a plantation near Spartanburg, SC.
(The "family's cabin cruiser" spends part of some years in all 4 states, with the majority of the time moored in Brunswick County, NC.)

Three states (FL, NC & VA) ordered Richard to register the boat and pay taxes on that same boat in each of their jurisdictions.
So far, SC hasn't ordered Richard to register & pay taxes on the boat but I wouldn't bet ten cents that the tax department bureaucrats sooner or later won't.
(It's called GREED.====> It's just about the MONEY.)

It is a shame, but I dont do wood boats anymore, I also dont do fat fiftys....... BUT it is a beautiful rig and a time capsule, hell I probly gassed it up back in the 60s at marbobs marina on shafer. Look at it this way , its 2hrs N of Indy, 3 hrs south of Chicago. someone needs to get it before it just rots out.....call yer buddies-friends-cousins-exinlaws................
