Oh, you don't know the half of it. The will power it took not to ask that question when I first saw this.

Sorry all - I had to take care of some family issues and left for the weekend after I posted this..... I finally got a hold of the old guy and found out what he was wanting.... that stack of cash pic posted..... yeah that's about spot on. He wants 1800.. no motor.... doesn't remember if any of the parts are there or where they may be. I have yet to see inside of the cockpit under the plywood. If I am correct it is an all glass boat, no wood stringers? There was a really bad spot on the bottom curve of the stern - huge crack prolly 3-4 inches, appeared to be all the way through. I looked through the holes in the back and there were some weak spots where it was lighter than the rest - not sure if needed large repairs or not as of this point. I offered 600 which I really wasn't very happy about without knowing what else might be going on. He laughed. I said I can't offer any more until I completely see it all, and find out if there are more parts. Some fairly significant parts are not there.... the tail-lights, the front "eyes", the steering wheel? the top rail step ons, the stern lights........glove box, ummmmm..... soooo the boat is in Mn. If I can't reason with him anymore, I will certainly help anyone who wants a crack at it.

Missing all that stuff.....it is a $500 boat tops, add some for the trailer. Fair, complete ones can be had for $500 without a trailer.

The sad thing is, he is convinced it is "worth" $1800. He will sit on it for a year, and then haul it to the dump when he a sick of trying to sell it.

If it is Thunderhawks you want, I think Monahan (320 632 4473) in Little Falls MN still has a few lying around his place. He is thinning out his collection and I think he'll part with these derelicts pretty cheap. While you are there, take a look at the restored ones and the one custom inboard T-hawk. I'll snap some photos and get some prices next time I check in with him.
