Well, I blew my budget on a MK20H yesterday, but someone could sure make some $$$ either fixing or parting those motors out!

I had a 7.5 Scott-Atwater like the green ones on the end when I was a kid. My Uncle gave me a couple in a basket and I put one together, sure did stress the transom of my 10' Livingston!

Started the life-long outboard addiction, yes I am a Merco-Holic and general Outboard-o-Holic!!!

what hp would you call that motor ? I just bought a 1979 Merk 500 w/2 6gal. tanks and controls for $100.00 cash ! The young man neaded money to get his truck insp. for the road he was out of work!
He also told me about his 1983 tryhull boat that the motor came off of, he lost the owners papers for the boat and trailer ! So now he can't use it any more? I ask him what he was going to do with it ? He told me he was going to (( BURN THE BOAT AND CUT UP THE STAINLESS STEEL TRAILER UP FOR SCRAOP )) !! I told him are "U" NUTS !! I asked him what he wanted for it ??? He told me he would take my old jeep,but he didn't have the papers for them ! I told him to right me out a bill of sale and we could take it to a notey too sign it and " HELL YES i WILL TRADE YOU MY OLD JEEP " !!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I own 2 boats and trailer with all the paper work !!
