This is a NIFTY boat going forward. Could be Dura Craft , or ALumi -craft. Icing on the cake if windshield still usable.

That is an Alumacraft Model M. They came in 14' and 16'. Both very rare, can't tell which this one is.

This might be the 14 ft model with the shorter deck, no windshield.
The Craig ad could be the 16 ft showing a longer deck & windshiled. .. At $ 300 good value going forward..
This rig seems to me to be on a GATOR trailer painted for the rig & Golden Johnson motor.

Split - your pic is of a 14 foot model FD with the optional wheeldeck and front deck.

The craigslist boat looks like a 1955/56 Merry M-14 - very similar hull to the FD, very different deck. Top of the line in 55/56 and priced accordingly. The 1956 price list for the bare FD was $398. Add the front deck and the wheel deck, and it was $466. The M-14 listed at $816, the M-16 at $949.

I'll try to attach pics of the M-14 and the M-16. Looks like the extra length is between the transom and the back seat. The first pic is of the M-14. Second pic is of the M-16.

If this was closer than 800 miles from me I'd be dragging it home instead of dreaming on the computer.

I have an M-16. There were 202 made in 54, the only year. M-14 was made in 54 and 55, never did ask the numbers when I talked to Alumacraft. I've seen ads dated later years, but Alumacraft said that was the only years they actually made them.

I run a Mark 55 on mine, although they were rated for 30 hp. It is a very nice riding and handling boat.

It's an attention getting boat. If you run across one, you will probably be happy with it.
