If I didn't already have 1.5 projects waiting, I would be on that! Hope someone grabs it for a full restoration since yours looks so good. Like the fins and love that angled back seat. Maybe a good one for you to get you through next winter since you know this boat... then sell it to someone who has the money, but no time or skills for this hobby... hey-sounds like me minus the money lol.

Think I haven't thought of that? Not too far away from me also, about 40 minutes. Also found a nice 35hp Gale that would look nice on that for $65. $$$ is tight also. I could get it but short on funds to do the resto.

That is a legitimate restraint. If I don't somewhat control this habit, I may need a third job. I seem to find stuff while I am searching for other stuff...like when I bought a prop for 100 because they go for 300-400 and I had given up looking...so I thought anyway...but that was last years money gone. Maybe after the August show, you could tell viewers of your finished boat that you would build them one if they commission it and front some funds lol. I am being of little help I'm sure.

Actually I've thought along those lines. I just made arrangements to get that Gale motor tomorrow. Guy's taking $50 for it and it's in town.

Logic says the boat purchase makes sense because instead of buying an expensive motor stand, you saved the money for the boat by building a FREE motor stand from the dish roof bracket.
