TOPIC: Small Day Cruiser

This hull recently appeared on the Chicago craigslist. It was close so I went to have a look. I had never seen another like it and found the design interesting.

It is about 16 feet long, all fiberglass with a small cuddy area (not closed) forward. I checked for anything that would identify what it is or who made it and found nothing.

All that is there is the hull, a bad steering wheel and some bow chocks. Everything else appears to have been stripped off. The asking price is $ 150.

I think it could be a nice boat but would require large amounts of time and money to restore.

Anyone know what it is?

1959 Thunderbird Navaho. Made in Miami, Florida.

LOL Larry, you beat me to it! Although the one Larry showed us is my 1958. Looks like someone stripped and sanded that one down prepping for a resto that never happened. Save her, she's a rare bird! We just got ours running this August.

PS. Mine has that same bow eye up on the top deck.

My dad had a old Regal Lancer, and it had a similar hatch! Thats me the little kid! My dad loved that boat!

I just picked one up this week. Great-grandson of original owner got it out of barn and was using it this summer. 1959 with a 1963 Homelite outboard. All original never painted. A true survivor.
