I have found a great web site for sun shades I purchased on of those First Up shades lasted till the first rain at the lake $100.00 down the tubes. A woman at the lake informed me about this web site www.tarps.com You will find the parts to build a very strong / wind resistant one for abot 40 bucks depending on what size you wanna make. hope this helps

YES the one friend is a boyscout troop leader and they have purchased several due to the construction. If you notice on their web page you don't need any tools they have like "eye" bolts to act as set screws and also to tie anchor ropes to if need. As you can see you can make diffrent custome sizes and don't have to be botherd about wind like the First up brand / Easy up.
