TOPIC: My Other Non Boat Toys

I mentioned in my intro boat project post about liking small engines such as lawnmowers and snowthrowers and working on motorcycles. I figured I would post a couple pics if anyone was interested in seeing them. I have built 2, well 1 1/2 so far. My first was my 1981 Yamaha XS400 which started like this.


And now looks like this. Welded my own hard tail instead of rear shocks, solo seat, z bars, sportster tank, made my own exhaust and so on.


My wife's bike is half done and started like this (not her actual bike her's was a lot more ratty)


And it looks like this right now



We also have our daily rider bikes. Mine a '95 Sporty that I customized, my wife's a '99 Vstar. And even my 7 year old has a mini bike and a go cart. I also have a '74 Kawasaki endure KE175 same style I had as a kid, needs total rebuild and a Honda Scooter for the camgrounds we go to. Way to many engines at this house.

Sorry to hear about the health problems John. Would they stop you from getting on a trike? There are some pretty cool kits for the cb's and even sportsters. I already have my trike planned out for when I am not able to be on two wheels. I want an old school bike like my wife's but with a ford rear end in it instead.

homebrew,my biker days are over,my wife hated it anyway,lol.

i had pet wolves a long time,the last one was all white and i also had an all black one,that was painted on the sides of the tank,with eagle feathers,i used to do a good bit of airbrush work,i wish i had a pic ,but like a dummy i never took many pics until i got the digital camera.
i think im going to do some airbrush work on my next boat,lol.

Don't tell anyone but if I had to choose between my boat and this the boat would lose. I can use it year around and is fun as hell. My son David with his. Yes I've been through that hole too. But I have the camera. As a side note I am a fan of fossil fuels. !

Hell yes now that looks like fun. I wish we had the places to ride one around here. Cool pictures.

Nice looking bike, but purists hate me because when I see or own something like your bike I picture it cut/chopped/stripped/lowered. HAHAHAHA
