TOPIC: caught 2 punks breaking in.

i had a weird evening yesterday,as i was outside working on building an archway for our new room,i heard glass breaking at my father in laws mobile home(no one lives there,he bought it for the land),so i grabbed my 357 magnum and ran up there quick,just in time to catch a 21 year old and 16 year old punks trying to get in the broken window,i held them there until my father in law and the state police showed up,the 21 year old tried get get a jump on me but i guess he didnt like looking down the barrel of the gun,and i then made them sit down.

then they apologized and waited for the police to take them home,the oldest one said he will pay for it,i guess we will see.john

You gotta love "feel good" stories!!

Its amazin how big the bore on a gun gets when its pointed at you. Sure makes you stop and think.

After so kids got into our garden and stold a water mellon I let all the kids aroung here know I have 357 and know how to us it. Told them if I catch and here after dark I figure they are steeling something and I would shot them. Haven't had anybody in after dark sense.

andrew yep,lol,the 21 year old i was going to try this old man,but i think he got the message,lol.
the reason i took the revolver was i wasnt sure what i was running into,all i knew was that someone was breakng the windows,im glad i did,im not in shape anymore for a fight with anyone,lol.
when he made the move toward me the gun as pointed down as i gave them the riot act,all i had to say is dont make another move and sit down,they did.
when the state police got there they were given the whole nine yards,im glad they were not easy on them.
they tried to say they heard a dog screaming to get out,so they broke the windows to get to the phantom dog.
the police told him that was b.s.,and it wasnt his 1st rodeo.

thanks bob,we live closeto the county jail,AND the state prison for the worst offenders,and as you saw we are in the country,we all have guns beside the bed.

i couldnt believe that the punk even told me it was a nice gun,lol,of course after he sat down.

now they are supposed to pay for the window and labor,plus they were charged with criminal mischief,the cop was ready to charge them with burglery,but let them chose to pay for it.

the younger one i almost feel sorry for,i think he was just following the older one blindly,he just kept his head hung low as we talked.
the older one was full of b.s.,he tried telling me many stories of how tough he was,but he didnt look so tough in his "wheres waldo" shirt.john

Well here I come back after a few weeks off and find John Gibson playing Dirty Harry. LOL You have a backhoe John I'm afraid I'd of buried them somewhere. You did the right thing. You are only a few short miles at best from the prison and you never know.

Way-ta-go John! Here they would have taken me to jail for pullin' a gun. It's good to know some places still allow you to protect your property.

I found this on the web yesterday and thought about this thread. John has a small backhoe, not a shovel. A Country boy can survive.

roflmao,sometimes i go dig out in the back yard at night just to keep the neighbors guessing.

Had not seen the pic of "Jims car" til tonight!!! Yea, I did eat a few do nuts in those 15 years, and I did put many thugs in jail also!! I miss it very much!!
