The mention of the 1902 Sea Sled in the day cruiser thread reminded me of this

This is well worth the look. It is the wildest snow vehicle ever.

I'll bet it floats too!

Enjoy.

I saw a new one of these in a magazine the other day.. not sure what one. Its jsut an old fordson tractor/crawler I think. I have seen them on a ford 9N I beleive as well in a tractor book. So the HP isnt very high to operate them. Cool though

Can you imagine how that boat would lurch port and starboard if those rollers were not timed correctly?

Very cool though. Let's make one! LOL

I hear ya'. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this cruiser was, cool a PWC processor. It would be very cool to build, but would not fit in my canal.

Another screw drive boat, more inline with the Snow-Motor

It's pourin' rain outside, we've had at least 4" since the sun came up.

A friend of mine sends me crazy snow pics he finds.

i had one of those chrysler sno-runners and boy let me tell ya, they were a piece of crap. myself and 2 friends bought them from a liquidation house for $275. i think they ran for about a month before problems arose. only would move along at about 15mph.

i have seen that vidio before and wondered if you could lower the screw drums how it would work for a snowmobile. In back mountian country you don't want something top heavy.
