Throughout most of the country, gas prices have been falling lately. Two weeks ago, while driving to the Outer Banks, many stations had prices around $3.39/gal. A week later, the going price was $3.29, with one at $3.27.

In N.E.PA, I filled up before traveling at $3.59. To date, some have come down to $3.55, saw one today at $3.49, but, for some reason, around here the prices are still stuck at these much higher rates.

What are you paying? [and what area of the country is that?]

I paid $3.579 in Catskill NY an hour or two ago, and that's for 87 octane.

$ 3.13 tonite in a suburb north of Cincinnati Ohio. I just saw on some news program that they are saying they don't expect prices to spike back up before spring. I hope they are right as its about time for some home heating oil.

Pennsylvania has a very large appetite for one's wallet. One point here, If the state and federal government was really worried about how you could afford gas and food why did they not drop their gas taxes when it was so high. Do you realize that the Govt. makes more off a gallon of gas than the manufacturer.
