Thanks for the wish's all. I'm out. Nobody can believe it. I am very sore. I've been pushing it. I walked a lot today in the hospital and I was eating well. He sent me home with restrictions. He never sent anyone home this fast. Nothing of interest was on the TV so I was walking. I am really sore now. Even nurse's could not believe how well I was doing. I'm worn out, more tomorrow.

I've lost about 11 inch's off my colon. They only had to make small cuts. I still don't know how big. I didn't get to see them. I'll check it over when the dressing gets changed. Yes I've been overdoing it. I hate being held back. Now I have to get the bowel working again. I'm confident. I need more summer. It was way to short. My best friend was making comments about some of the nurse's here. I told him they had to take turns with me. He said he knew better than that. We laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I did discover some things that are simple that is hard to do with a surgery in your gut. Blowing you nose is a real chore. When I talked to John when he called I was trying to clear my throat from the oxygen tube I had in the OR. Stryker hospital beds get a bad mark from me. The controls are hard to get your hand on and you cannot see the buttons and they have no feel to them. Hospital food has way to much salt. I like a little salt on my food. There is a difference between salt on food and salted food. They must have been trying to preserve it for a few years. Overall I'll give the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital a good mark. The people are great and my Dr's are too.

Robert,

I hope your recovery is swift but maybe it's best to let it cure slowly... good luck and best wishes.
