I am currently looking at a job opportunity in Salisbury, Maryland. Do any folks have experience here with this town or the surrounding area? I am looking to hear impressions, personal experiences, and such. Looks to be an interesting location, the eastern shore of Maryland.

Probably not much help Andy, but I've made numerous visits to the Bud's Creek (Mechanicsville) MD area, very beautiful countryside. It's on the inland side, home of Maryland International Raceway. Very green and lush in the summertime, great folks, plenty of historic architecture in stonework as well as a strong Amish presence. Abundant waterfront access, albeit saltwater, and some of the best seafood (famous for crab) I've ever sampled. :)

been to both ports in Baltimore and the one in Salisbury often with a layover, nice people "traffic" is a little bit to get use to (in a big truck) in my log books where it shows I was in Salisbury -BBQ @ the Park- shows up in my memo section, by what I remember they had some yearly BBQ festival that was to die for.

Salisbury, MD is where Chris-Craft had their Sea Skiff boat plant. These were the wooden lapstrake models. There is a very nice maritime museum at St. Michaels, MD not too far away and they have an annual classic boat show on site.
