So as you all may or may not know I moved from Southern Maryland down to Melbourne Florida about a year and a half ago and haven't posted on the Resorter in well over that time. Not because I didn't want to but because we had to move do house projects etc.

Had to make the house to where the Admiral wanted it. I did get my 3 car garage (shop) and pool but still had to paint, remove carpet, remove wood laminate floor, add wood look tile etc etc etc.

I did get some work done but it was sandwiched in between projects and it wasn't much.

So to make my space workable I had to make a wood rack.

Needed a work bench.

Had to stuff everything in and still make it usable.

Believe it or not I can move around and work in there. Don't forget I moved from a 2 1/2 car garage with a separate 12' x 28' boat shed to a 3 car so....

I also had to make my daughter a new bookcase for my new baby grand daughters nursery.

Then there was the wine rack after having new counters and back splash put it.

I also had to add a 200 amp power panel for the garage since I guess code back in 2001 said they only had to have one outlet in the garage and of course it was on the back wall where I plugged the beer fridge into so...…..200 amp panel, 5 120v twin receptacle boxes 3 220v boxes and one 220 welder box later I'm good to go. Didn't take pics but each 120v box has it's own 20amp breaker with appropriate gauge romex feeding it. I have all kinds of expansion room electrically!

I'm also currently working on tearing out and replacing a built in entertainment center that was built into the house by the Flintstone I think. Pics when that's done. Sucks cuz I haven't been able to hook up the stereo and stuff. I did splurge and get the Samsung Q9QLED 65" big screen though! lol;)

Well that's enough for now.

Well, at least you had someplace to plug in the beer fridge while you got the rest of it straightened out !!!

So let's see now. You have a beer fridge, wine rack, 65" QLED TV, all kinds of power. I really don't see the need for anything else. Close the garage door, kick back, wash the wine down with a beer chaser just in time for regular season NFL. During halftime maybe measure out a board for the resorter.
Glad to see you're keeping up on the home front, plenty of time for the boat later. When I get stumped on a honey-do project it clears the mind to do some putzing with mahogany. Looks like you have enough lumber to finish the project once it's resawn.
I started a little dabblin' with wood to get me through the cold months ahead if you can remember what those were like.

Thanks for the update.

Thanks guys. So Here's the last project I was trying to get done. First I had to demolish the Flintstones built in entertainment center.

And turn it into this.

Now the new tv fits, everything is hooked up and the Admiral is happy. NOW maybe I can get back to the Resorter, but probably not. lol

Excellent work and creativity. You have really been completing some high quality work... well done. I am glad to know I am not the only one who sometimes puts the boats on hold to keep up with life. I am sure you could just use progress on the boat as a means to just keep up your woodworking skills, so that the home projects turn out perfect lol.

Bob:

Being somewhat of an audiophile, I have a 1970s vintage Sansui G-7500 receiver that drives my Sansui SP-2500X speakers. The cabinets were a little beat and not much to look at in general so I jazzed them up. I built these cabinets to resemble a vintage radio...from mahogany, of course.

Sorry Cal, thought you meant her "Today's Country" Channel. lol

That's awesome Jan, they look Fantastic, great Idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have done that with my Cerwin Vega 3000's. Those Sansui's were great receivers. I've gotten very partial to the Klipsch speakers now. I had a Yamaha 1080i receiver that lasted about 12 years then one of my kids friends watched the house while we were gone and blew out a channel on the amp, so I thought I'd switch to Onkyo and see how it went, so far so good. Going on 12 years now.

My G-7500 loses the left channel every so often. It's in the speaker switch because I can fool with it awhile and can get it to work. Taking it out of the built-in cabinet and pulling all the wires so I can pull the case is a major job that I never get around to. I cuss and wiggle the switch until it eventually works and that's that way things have been for years.

I'm at Wickham and Pineda. Yeah made it to the Mount Dora show 2 years running now. :) Yes Suntree and Viera are basically New York south since Northrop Grumman moved all the E-2 aircraft stuff from Bethpage to here. That's where I'm working now too. lol
