TOPIC: 1968 Dodge 3 in 1 Road Race Set

In 1968 my Pawpaw bought a Dodge D100 Custom truck brand spanking new and he was given this Eldon slot car set by the Dodge dealer. The last time I set this thing up was in 1998. The other day I decided to get it out and set it up. I knew the tires were cracked and hard so I found some wider replacement tires and changed them, oiled the motors a little, and after tinkering with the pick up braids I got everything working great. My 7 and 9 year old nieces came over and they played with the set for a couple of hours and they said that it was a lot of fun. It was great to see the kids playing with a slot car set that I have had since I was 3 years old. I think I have played with the set more this week than it has ever been played with. I still have my Pawpaw's truck, and it and the slot car set turn 50 this year, almost as old as our boat, lol. Here are some pictures, hope you all like them.

Way cool! I miss those slot cars and don’t know where mine went. I had some cars, but never saw a truck. What a great experience for your family to have things that tie generations together! Nice job on the pictures.
