Just got this last week.
1975 Marquis.
75,000 on the clock. One owner. Sat in a garage the last 15 years.
460. Perfect vinyl top. AM radio. Perfect interior.

Nice find! When cars were cars, and gas was cheap enough to not care the 460! Gonna be a gas eater, but so what!

Neil, me protests your 15. I've had 3 460's, one in a Merc station wagon, another in a Ford F250 and now presently in my F350 RV. If I squeezed 8.5 mpg on any one of them I was doing good. The first two were carbed, The 350 is injected with all the same mileage.

Neil,

NIFTY Merc!!!

Fyi, I know where there's a 1975 Lincoln TC/Land Yacht for sale for a REALLY low price, with (what is claimed to be ) about 60,000 miles.
(The owner says that he parked it because it cost too much to drive.)

yours, satx

I love it. I have a 72 460 I was going to use in my 62 F-100 but as of now I'm putting in a 93 300-6 cylinder with fuel injection and all. My son ad a cab and a half 460 F-250 and claimed her got 12. I was a monster. I had two tons on it once and you never knew it was there. My 90 Grand Marquis with the 4.6 got 26 on the highway and 22 overall. All my Lincoln Town cars gave me a solid 22. Those were 80's vintage. All had over 300,000 when I gave them to the kids.
