TOPIC: MFG Seaway

MFG Seaway 1 year 2 months ago #148391

HI,
I just recently picked up a 60's era Seaway and was looking for help and identifying what year and exact model it is. The serial number is 2686. Thanks for any help with.

Steve,

I am no expert on MFGs, but the name Seaway is not the boat model name but appears it is the name given to the boat by the owner - sort of like Fast Lady, Lucky Strike, SS Minnow, etc. I am not certain that is an MFG but I am not familiar with later models. Can you find a serial number? Usually on the back of the transom starboard side, upper right corner.

Ok after looking at your photos, look at the photo of the outboard motor, to the right of that and under the strap is your serial number. It might give a clue to who the manufacturer and year might be.

Steve,

I think it is an MFG Sea Cruiser.

Hi Steve, this is an MFG Sea Cruiser. I have a 1964 and my serial number is 2405, so appears yours was built after mine. From the information I could find, this model was only produced in 64 and 65.
