TOPIC: Anything wrong with running two tachs?

Anything wrong with running two tachs? 14 years 4 weeks ago #8841

I've got an automotive aftermarket tach set to the 6 cyl. setting and hooked to one of my coils. I'm not confident I'm getting true rpm (tach may be faulty) so was wondering, any problem with running another aftermarket tach to the other coil so I can see if one or the other is off?

Thanks for any advice.

Each coil is an independent ignition system so I'm thinkin' it won't hurt a bit to hook up another tach to the other coil.

A tach would have such a minimum load on an ignition system that any effect it could have should make no difference atoll.

HTH & let us know what happens..............ed
