One of my favorite quotes:

Walt Kowalski: Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone.

I would suggest an multimeter for electrical troubleshooting.

Skipper on a 40' sailboat said " If you need a tool box onboard , then maybe we should not be out here racing in 30 knots of wind or more "

Well, It depends on the waterway your are going to cruise on. I mainly cruise on a nice little in landland lake. So If I happen to break down, I'll get home soon. I do have some spare parts and tools for unforseen events in my "toolbox" I don't like breaking down but if I do I usually have an alternitive way of getting back to my place.

Long story short! I doesn't hurt to have a "First-Aid Tool box" B)
