TOPIC: How to screw up PT&T cylinders

How to screw up PT&T cylinders 14 years 7 months ago #5928

Check this out. Here I thought all I did was strip it. I've been tightening tubing fittings all my life and have never had such problems. My shoulders and back are so screwed up I have nowhere near the force I used to have either. To make things even more fun, I'm tightening up my newly painted headers on my hot rod last weekend, and stripped a mounting hole in the left side head. Sheeesh!

So now the score is one trim cylinder broke (this one), one stripped and maybe repairable, and one that seems to be fine that I am overly anxious about removing to mount my motor and hooking back up again. Bah!

Dang...that sucks!!

Mine leak pretty good at that fitting and ive always been apprehensive to "fix" them out of fear of something like that happening.

So i just top the pump off before every trip to the lake.
