TOPIC: My first 99

Its probably too new for this site, but I thought I would share. 1980 Mercury 115 power trim, attached to a 1980 Glastron SSV-167. I only really wanted the motor, but the seller informed me it was attached to a Glastron, I couldn't say no. The boat needs work but the whole package was pretty cheap, good tittle for the trailer. Enjoy!

Looks good from here. Should be a nice little ride with some polishing.

That Glasstron and that motor wouold be a very nice combo I would think. I like the looks of it!!

Sorry for copying your title I just got another 99 yesterday. They are really good motors.

Thanks for the kind words. I believe the lower unit changed in `79 when they went to distributorless ignition, its a real good runner. My `75 Mercury 500 seems small compared to the 115!!

Ive got a 1980 1400 without swept skeg, but do not know if its the original lower unit. I always thought they came on the later 1150's made int he late 1980's But have no concrete facts cause I dont have any mid 80's motors.

Went downstairs and checked my Merc brocures. 1979 was the first year for the swept back skeg.
