TOPIC: The "free" 85 and the 150 lives

Finally got around to trying to fire up the "free" 85 I got given to me when I purchased a power trim unit from the seller....
and to go along with that I fgot the 150 fired up today too. 150 needs some work..and will be looking for some guidance..the smell of 2 stroke is great

Way to go "bringing 'em back" Matt, good work. Both are sounding and looking pretty good, have you gone through the basic check up and tune up routine with them yet? I know they're both pumping water out the tell-tales, but a fresh water pump impeller, gear lube change, spark plug check and change are cheap insurance to ensure a longer life in the long run. Just a thought.......

I did change out the 150s lower...no to tother..been a slow process...need to get it timed next, i think its pretty close but need to dial in the distributor...the 85 was gone through before previous owner got it, he never got it in the water....i have impellers for both units the 150 i checked when i got it and it was in great shape...but i do have impellers here for them...next step is to time the 150...
