2 strokes, by design, blow a small amount of fuel out the exhaust during scavenging. The gas vaporizes, the oil remains and passes down the leg, some seeps out the hole you seen. Normal.

I use a white plastic "test barrel", it will amaze you how much oil residue is left after running one for 15-30 minutes!

I did that the first time I ran it at friends house and the trash can was full of oil as I remember. Thx all, feel a little better. BTW I found a gas station near the marina that sells no ethanol gas!!! Love it.

Yep completely normal and really hard to keep white paint looking good with it oozing all over the place. You wipe it down after a run and an hour later you have a dark run mark over you beautiful paint.

Another good reason for the change to Black by mercury. It hides the oil stains better :)

Joe,
Can you post a better picture of what you're calling a weep hole?
Your red arrow looks like it is pointed at a round hole that should have threads in it and a plug - if it is the hole my blurry old eyes think you're pointing at.

Just a thought on using a small barrel for test runs and flushing, any 2 stroke. Aren't you running that oil back through the inside of the water jacket? Any bad effects from that?

Oil should not hurt the cooling passages. Plus your water pump usually pulls water from the bottom of the barrel that is cleaner. Oil usually sits on the top of the water and clings to everything when you pull your motor out.
