TOPIC: Merc Cowling Decals

Merc Cowling Decals 14 years 1 week ago #21846

I'm looking for some comments on where and where not too get aftermarket decals for our old Mercs. I have a 72 140hp that I'm wanting to paint and put new decals on. The best I have seen so far comes from ebay, a guy out of Canada (nymarine.ca), his look good and complete. Thanx in advance for any help offered!

I have bought a set for a 1972 115 from him & it would take a really fussy 'expert' to tell them apart from the OE one. Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Mike,
Thanks for asking that question. I'm going to need the Mercury ones for the 800FGS top cover, since mine are faded bad. Unfortunately mine are not the metal letters as on some other models.

Received my set of 1400 Merc decals from Nymarine today. Just finished putting them on my newly painted cowlings! They look outstanding! Thanx for the comments and backup.

I got mine from there last year, and I can't tell the difference in quality from the originals. They are on a '63 Merc 850 and look great. I even got the one that goes below the powerhead and says "Full Gear Shift".
