Are you using those Crown Royal bottles as a counter weight? I can think of a much better use! I deliver wholesale liquor for a living from a Crown Royal truck.

Looking good Dave. They are sharp looking motors when redone. I have a MK25 that runs with electric start. May one day get around to it. Don't think I will come up with the Quickie lower unit though.

Here is a picture of one of my 25E Mercs.
No quickie,....SIGH,...But I do have a complete "Bay Kit", and all the remote controls & related goodies.
My other one is an earlier one, but has the same starter - not a "swing Bendix" starter.

Did Mercury put out the "Bay Kit", or did the Mark 25 have a long shaft DSH option??
I think I've seen a long shaft DSH, but don't recall if it was a Mk 25 or Mk20??

That is nice.
merc made about 300 longshaft mark 25l's and about 200 mark 25El's longshaft I had 3 25L's

Seeing all these is making me start thinking about doing something with my 25E. Just have to finish the bathroom remodel, sliding deck door- have to keep the wife happy too:P :P springtime maybe.

All mercury Mark 25 LONGSHAFT motors made by mercury had no kits.
