TOPIC: 73 85hp Rainwater inside engine case

73 85hp Rainwater inside engine case 4 years 11 months ago #141169

I've noticed the last couple of weeks when I swivel the engine back and forth that rainwater comes out of the engine case above the exhaust ports. I pulled the cover off and things are dry inside. The boat has been sitting 2-3 years with the motor down. I assume there is a drain somewhere that's plugged. Exhaust ports may be the wrong term, I'm talking about the square holes at the rear of the motor behind the powerhead on the external casing. Water does not come directly out of the holes, but above them. I'm also wondering if it's possible to get the internal wiring harness for this engine. The one on it is pretty corroded. Thank you for any info.
