just an update on this motor . left it with a local boat repair they did nothing for 3 weeks took it back. bought a repair manuel i was going to just fool with it myself.
But I found one for sale on craigs good working order but called the guy and it would not work for my boat, But i asked if he did his own repairs on the motor , he said yes , So I told him i would pay for his help , and he said yes.
we got it started for a few seconds and found the impeller needed to be replaced. So he helped me with that.
It was very very hard to get the bottom off.. lots of banging, etc. and it took a lot of banging to get it back on. it needs more but i am trying to get the boat in the water even just once this year lol to see if it floats lol
A SHOUT OUT TO Joe Poole at www.fergusonpoolemarine.com for parts and in- depth knowledge on how to do things, etc. very helpful little tricks etc.
Also, i needed longer control cables, and parts for the control box. and the tube the holds the steering cable is too small for the cable that came with the boat when i got it. So i have that to work on too. anyway this is mostly for my own future use not sure how many other will have an interest.
please excuse all my gramer mistakes etc. etc.
I have a short vid of the motor running on youtube
anyone want to comment on how it sounds?? i know a lot of you can hear how it is doing

I’ve got a 1963 Mercury 350. Mine runs well and your’s sounds like mine.

True test is on the water at all speeds.
