tinkering with a merc 35hp starter may be bad 5 years 7 months ago #139586

I was told that the starter may be bad.
Any easy way to test it for sure?
Can anyone suggest the best place to get parts?
any videos on replacing one, It looks like it's in there pretty good lots to take off to get to it?

any suggestions in general
thanks

Is it a 4cyl or 2cyl ? use a set of jumper cables to the starter ground to case positive to stud on the starter. if it is bad it wont work or work poorly. 1914 310 7086.
