TOPIC: 1973 Mercury 850 wont start

I am at a loss! This motor has not been ran in probably 20 years. I have rebuilt the carbs, fuel pump, and put a new pickup in the distributor. I have great spark and fuel in the carbs but this thing will not start. It doesn't seem to be getting fuel in the cylinders. Any ideas??

they were hard to get a good choke. pump the primer bulb till hard then pump harder . flood the carb a little then crank with choke on.

Yes! I got it started!! Sorry, a little excited. Now to try to get all the little bugs worked out. Doesn't want to idle unless I throttle it up

adjust the idle and the idle stop. make sure it is running on both carbs.
