TOPIC: Ouch!

Ouch! 6 years 8 months ago #135836

I have started working on my 1960 Merc 800 project again after letting it go dormant. While buffing the lower cowl trim molding, the buffer grabbed it out of my hand. Ouch!! I'll heal, but the part is toast. Looking for a replacement. Also looking for a starboard "R" and the external support bracket for the wiring harness. Anybody help me out?
Best,
Larry

I think a 400 trim wiill be too small.

IIRC, the early 650, 800, 850, 1000 lower cowlings would be of the same size and trim. The "29997A 1" "Moulding Assembly" crosses over to all these engines.

Any of the '65 to '67, 66 & 90 Cube engines (650, 900, 950, 1100) that still had stainless trim, may or may not be an exact fit, but perhaps could be adapted.

p.s. OUCH! Recommend leather gloves and a face shield for the next polishing session! Did I say OUCH?!!
