TOPIC: Need older mercury trim ram cylinder

Need older mercury trim ram cylinder 8 years 6 months ago #123087

Hoping one of you fellows has an extra ram cylinder you could part with for a reasonable amount. Recently replaced the hydraulic line on the starboard side. During which time I noticed that the cylinder was previously damaged where the line threads in,and was repaired with in weld. I shopped around locally and couldn't find a replacement. Joe from Ferguson Poole marine could get me a new one , but the price was out of my budget. I ended up re rigging it the way it had been previously. It didn't leak, but won't raise the motor , even after tons of bleeding efforts. I reinspected and noticed the line was set slightly off in the cylinder housing. So I have attempted to re do it,for now but would like to replace with a non damaged unit. If it doesn't work this time, I may swap rams with the port side, then it will only be the down action to worry about, gravity should help with that. Thanks for help.
