well after all the talk with Frank about prop size and fuel
I found out that my motor was turning almost 6 grand at full
throttle with new fuel line when changed the lower unit using the old prop that was polished a couple years back and not running the boat for two years the fuel line was starving the motor went from a 13 1/2x 13 to 13 1/8 x 15 and down to 5300 rpm with the prop that came with the lower unit 26mph to 30 mph

One of the greatest things about this place, (FG), is that it's like an ongoing, interactive, often illustrated online classroom on all things boat related. (And some that are not.) All you have to do is pay attention, and you can't help but learn many things that will come in handy sooner or later! Almost every post has valuable info for future use. ie: Anytime you change ANYTHING on your motor, re-check the setup and re-tweak as required.

Thanks for sharing Charles, glad to hear you're getting it dialed back in.
