TOPIC: PICS available FOR SALE - merc 1500 AND 850

I just got my 1500 ('75) running and must say wow....impressive power (on the stand any way).....i bought this to get it running and well thinking of selling it now....wondering what a fair asking price would be....the only wiring that was bad was that of the stator all the rest looks new, heck the starter even looks new....carbs should be rebuilt since unsure how long it had been sitting before i got it.
I replaced the distributor and will be installing new impeller....

not sure what to ask to sell it but also know I don't want to give away....

ALSO:

Have a running 850 (76?)....cleaned up some of the wiring to get it running...i want to sell this one off too...it could use a new internal harness...and i will be installing a new impeller shortly on this one since its not pumping water that well......

any helpful tips send them my way....

A few pictures, if available, both with the cowl on and off would be very useful for giving you a price.

Does it run? What are the compression numbers? Does it come with controls?

compression readings on the 850 was 120-130
1500 i believe was 120-140....i will recheck to be more acurate....

850 no prop, 150 with prop.

probably w/o controls....

see what one thinks...if I'm starting to high please let me know..i picked both to try and get running...which was sucessful...now wanting to sell...I have 2 other 850's that need help ....so want to move these to work on the other 2...

That 1500 looks like a heck of a deal to me! I'd buy it in a minute if I had the cash and was closer. Darn!

thanks frank....thinking if it doesn't sell...may go through the carbs this winter....and maybe buff the paint and see if i can get her to shine a bit more.....

already trying to hunt down another one.....
