TOPIC: '61 Merc 800 still runs - riding with the Doctor

Got to meet a bunch of great people yesterday and drool over some very, very cool boats!

Doc gave me a ride in his HydroSCREAM - my cars don't accelerate that quickly ! I gave him a ride in mine, not nearly as exciting.

I don't have any photos of my boat from the gathering, but here is one taken Friday - it's the first image I've got that shows the boat at speed, 52mph on the GPS.

How ya doing Robby, thanks for the compliment. I've been running around Lake Crescent as much as I can, it gets windy in the afternoons but loosens the boat up:)

The engine still runs good at speed and the boat is real stable. My BIL just bought a boat so I'm hoping to finally get some close up video of some high speed passes, will post when I get 'em.

Dissapointed I missed the meet. Doc was gonna let me show off his beautiful wife's cherry g3 but a toddler and one adult in the boat might have been a little much! Hope to see your boat in person one day!

Maybe you can use momma's G-3 or we can all climb in the H-Screamer.
You polished and vacuumed momma's G-3 and I filled the tanks with super non-E in anticipation of your family going to Lake Spencer with us. Maybe your bride can join in the cruising in September at Mayfield Lake. The G & the Screamer will be ready to go!
