Brought home my next project today, after a little 320 mile road trip to Chattanooga and back. She's a little rough, but should make a nice lake cruiser (some day) when I get her finished. I realize it isn't a true "Glassic" by most of you guys standards, but I like it. :P
Definitely going to need some "tutoring" on the I/O stuff, kinda new to me.

Looks good Mark. Open bow, 4 banger for economy, quiet and smooth.
Fun, fun.
Might have to start calling you Triple G with that fleet you're building!! ;)

I can't see a problem doing a newer boat. I honestly would love to have a pontoon boat of the small scale of like 16 ft for my fishing. :) I've had that one Larson inboard I had to give away. It is still in a small pond I hear in a paintball course.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your open mindedness. I plan on keeping the GT150 to fill the "need for speed" days, but this one makes a lot more sense for regular cruising.

Exactly my thoughts, thank you all.

A little investigating yesterday revealed a poorly done "floor-over", Lord knows what's lurking underneath that! Gonna take my time and do it up right.

It might have been on CL too, but I found it during one of my routine searches on Ebay, Larry. I don't ever do Lake Lanier, just too crazy and crowded for me! Plenty of nice lakes much closer to my side of town anyway. ;)

Nice score Mark, maybe not a "classic" but really classy. I/O's are not that difficult. All the used ones I have owned usually had the gimbal bearings neglected. Not hard to replace if you have the right tools and shaft to align it with.
Keep us posted.
