TOPIC: 1958 Crestliner Arabian

I have a 14 foot 1958 fiberglass Crestliner that I believe to be an Arabian. We are interested in restoring. I am having difficulty finding good pictures of it if anyone has any that they would like to share with me I would greatly appreciate it. I would also appreciate any information on the boat. Thank you.

Welcome Brandie, glad to have you join us. The Crestliner brochures in the Glassic Library don't list the Arabian until 1959, have you had a look at those? Sometimes even the factory literature was incorrect, maybe someone can help if you post some pics.

the boat title is for a 58 the trailer the motor are 59.

I have 2 Arabians, a 59 and a 60 I believe. I bought the 60 so I could see what the interior of the 59 should look like.

2 things about restoring them to be aware of are that the floors had a balsa core between the outer skin and the floor. The 59 had water logged balsa.

I removed the floor and formed 2 layers of marine 1/4 ply.

The second is the transom. I replaced that as well.

It wasn't terribly difficult but if you are lucky yours won't need it.
