TOPIC: 1965 Shell Lake " Garage find"

Picked up this 65 shell lake toady!!! Bought it from the oringal owners. due to poor health its been sitting in the garage for the last fifteen years. its in grest shape solid transom and floor. It has oringal paper work the owner is getting together, and will send (i'm going to keep bugging him).the motor is ,as far as i can tell, a 59 johnson super seahorse 35 (model rdsl 21b serial # 1954319).so i will need some help from the johnson specialist to get her going .

Good quality boat. Might have a hollow bottom/no foam like my '67 Shell Lake. I think that is why The floors stay solid.

Thanks everyone, yea super lucky to find this hidden jem. took some leg work tracking it down, but well worth it. started with some rubbing compound on a small area , looks like it will buff out perty well. i'll take before and after pics.scrubed the floor and looks great , floor is really solid. going to work on the motor this weekend. just not enought hours in the day right now.

Looks great. It's nice to find something that just needs some elbow grease to make it look awesome again. and not a total rebuild.
