TOPIC: What boat is this?

I'm hoping you guys can help me out. I'm the lucky new owner of this fibreglass runabout, the make of which I have no idea - and the DPO neither. The badge on the glovebox says "Coronado", but I can find no Coronado boat that looks like this. I think that it looks very much like a Pedrazzini Capri (wood, V8) - but; my boat is fibreglass and the engine is a GM V6 155 (OMC stern drive). Instrumentation looks US but lines are swiss/italian. What do you think?

She's a beauty Moretti, whatever it is! Any clues in the Bill of Sale, previous registration papers, etc..?

But I don't know if they made a Coronado ?

Lucky man, it looks very desirable to my eyes! And welcome to this site.

This could be a Century Coronado. It looks like their style of classic timber boat.
Like other boatbuilders probably found fiberglass a great material with which to make boats.

I would go with the Riva thought. They are the only ones I could find with a swim platform on a barrell back boat. The hardware looks vintage American (or really good reproductions). My guess is a really good reproduction or retro design instead of a vintage boat

I would say not a Century. Never saw a barrell-back Coronado.

Thanks all. Im aware that Century made a Coronado - however, it looks totally different from this. I agree that it looks like a Riva - unfortunately, it is not No papers, no history, so the origins is a bit of a mystery. Some german writing in instruments and around the engine, hints of a swiss past. There is a sign on the instrument panel with the name Hochmuth, which is a swiss boat service company. I was pretty sure they only serviced the boat at some time, but they may actually have built the boat as a Riva/Pedrazzini copy. I will keep you posted

It is ENTIRELY POSSIBLE that your boat is a "private commission" done by an individual boat-builder. = There are more of those "out there" than you would think.
(The late & very talented Nelson Silvia of coastal NC did any number of "one offs" to a customer's desires. = Mr Silvia would custom build anything that you could dream-up and afford.)
