TOPIC: Corner Cap

Checked Jamestown Dist, taco, and some other sites. Can't find this corner.

Did find it in Australia for about $50: www.arnoldsboatshop.com.au/gunwhale-corner-cap-29238-m/dp/6420

I've searched for rub rail fitting, rub rail corner cap, gunwhale corner cap, etc.. can't seem to find it.

It's 1.5" tall and 1.5" from the angle to the end of each leg.

Somebody, she will remain nameless, lost the other one at the ramp in the sound. And cracked this one in the river...

And she wonders why i leave the seat up!

The cracks in the gel coat are more upsetting than the part.

Still have not found one. Is there some other part I can use?

Have you checked McMaster Carr or Grainger, for tube fittings, elbows, fence corner fittings... etc.
You may find something close ? With a few saw cuts, a little hammering, some filing, some sanding, couple drilled holes, some polish ? You may be able to make your own ?
Better yet ? Have the un-mentionable make them. It will be a deterant to lose or split them again. Ha-Ha-Ha !!!!

Or they would end up with hearts and glitter all over them!

That thing would be easy for a good welder to fix. once welded it could be smoothed and polished . you might be able to see the repair but most people would not be able to tell if you did not show them.

Good idea on the welder. I'm missing the starboard on all together. Maybe they could fabricate one too.
