Having a great weekend on Chicago’s beautiful lakefront. Perfect weather and lots of people coming out to see the boats.

Friday we had a classic boat parade on the Chicago River.

This is a great way to see the city.

Got a bunch more to post later. Headed back to the lake now.

Beautiful!!!!
Awesome boats & beautiful water.
Now THIS would be a cruise - parade I would love to attend.
I suppose I could google Chicago and figure out which waterway this is, but,...(hint-hint-hint)
Thanks for posting the pixs.
:)

Yeah the third picture is on the river at Michigan Avenue. That shot was in the Chicago Tribune on Saturday Morning.

1950 Wolverine Wagemaker ‘Rainy Day’

1959 Glasspar Seafair Sedan “Mama Mia’

1967 Century Coronado ‘Miss Millie’

2014 something but I forgot to ask what model

How about the classic lines of this Hinkley T29R Jetboat ‘Gull’

The third picture posted above of the parade on the river was in the Chicago Tribune. Just found these that were in the Chicago Suntimes.

This is only the second time I had the Sedan on Lake Michigan and would only consider it in relatively calm waters. Friday morning our inland sea was like glass.

This too was in the Tribune for some unknown reason in the Music section. This is the 55 Chris Craft.

My friend Gary got these shots on his Iphone.

Damn I knew I should have put the covers on Mama Mia! last night.

Havin a blast on the Chicago River early in the AM

That’s the sweet 39 Gar Wood I showed in the harbor earlier

Again the magnificent Robert Allen II. This 1936 Grebe Motoryacht was built only a few miles from here on the North branch of the Chicago River

Locking back through to Lake Michigan

Homeland Security made their presence known and came well prepared

That gun would look good on the bow of Mama Mia!

Just had to try this mahogany trimmed Bennington on for size. The mahogany was a $75k option. The one next to is standard black and looks pretty good too.

This was for sale, Contemporary Classic 1984 Hacker Craft, I think it was about $80k?
