TOPIC: THE 1956 CADILLAC UTILITY IS HOME AT LAST!!!

Friends,

Some of you have followed my "seemingly unending saga" of trying to ACTUALLY go PICK UP the 1956 CADILLAC UTILITY RUNABOUT out of the clutches of a fellow, who thought it unimportant for me to actually pick-up the boat/trailer that I'd paid for in full, a MONTH AGO.
(As of this morning, NOT counting the trip to go see the little rig, I had made three 37 mile round-trips without success.)

Finally at about Noon today, I actually hooked-up the boat/trailer & brought them home to San Antonio, feeling quite pleased with myself as the UTILITY model is far rarer than the equivalent "ski-boat".

THEN, I found out that my landlord won't allow any more boats on any of his rented properties, so as of tonight, 31MAY14, the Cadillac boat & trailer are FOR SALE & posted to the GLASSIFIEDS.

Pardon me for saying at it's in GREAT condition for 57 years old, will be an EASY restoration (It needs only polishing, re-painting of the interior bottom & a "general cleaning", as the Model 141 has NO interior upholstery and minimal decoration.) & (while it is no beauty) the trailer pulls beautifully.

frog: NOPE. Just checked mail & all I've gotten since 7PM CDT is an offer to buy BURIAL INSURANCE!

Shake: Our landlord is a hate-FILLED, arrogant, moron & a CREEP, imVho. - He put out a "change to policy letter" out at 3PM this PM, effective at Midnight 01JUN14.
(Don't you like his "advance notice"???)

My daughter will make/post photos for me. = I don't even OWN a camera.

Also, the boat/trailer is "gone on vacation" to a friend's back yard, until it's sold or I find a better place to keep it.

Totally sucks. There isn't any clauses in your contract regarding a time frame for these types of changes?

Anyway, hope it sells fast for you, or better yet, you can work something else out.

I do NOT have a lease, as after a year it's all month to month. - So "Tommy, the TURKEY" can do pretty well as he wishes.
(You'd logically think that a person who always pays his rent BEFORE the first of the month would be VALUED by the owner as a renter & NOT be "aggravated" needlessly.)
